About The Cause

The First Tee of Greater Austin is a 501(c) non-profit organization that provides educational programs that teach life skills and healthy choices to young people through the game of golf. The organization reach over 10,000 area youth via its after-school, in-school, camp and outreach programs in 2015. As Austin continues to grow, as does the need for quality and affordable youth programs. Congestive traffic and transportation limitations also put more pressure on TFTGA to provide its programs at more accessible locations. 100% of the participants in the program require partial or full scholarship to participate. All participants benefit from life-skills education that includes: interpersonal skills, goal-setting, self management, healthy choices, planning for the future and more.
