LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Austin
The LPGA-USGA Girls Golf program is a developmental junior golf program for girls 7-17. It was formed to create a network for girls to learn to play golf, make friends, and sample competition in a positive and supportive learning environment. As the only national golf initiative for girls, the program provides the opportunity to develop skills, progress in golf and have fun while establishing life-long interest in the game of golf. The Austin chapter is run by First Tee — Greater Austin.
2025 Schedule
Kickoff Clinics Clinics will be held at the Harvey Penick Golf Campus. The instruction will cover various golf skill activities including full swing, short game, the Rules of Golf, and how to prepare for on-course competition. Each girl will need her own set of equipment and if necessary, First Tee — Greater Austin can provide the golf equipment. |

We’re always looking for more coaches for the program Volunteer coaches are vital to this program’s success. Each group of girls is paired with a coach during play sessions. Coaches help provide encouragement and basic golf tips. Coaching is a great opportunity to spend quality time doing something that both you and the girls enjoy. Come to one session, come to all and see for yourself the important role that coaches play. To become a coach, please contact: Derrick Elstob Chief Operating Officer at First Tee — Greater Austin [email protected] | C 512.497.4653 |
How to Join/Sign Up
Registering for Girls Golf in Austin is easy as 1 – 2 – 3. There are three steps to register:
STEP 1: Download the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf APP
By signing up, girls will receive a package of goodies from the LPGA. It also allows the chapters to qualify for grant money.
STEP 2: Local Sign Up
Click the box below to sign up for the Austin Chapter. The membership fee is $100 for one player and $75 for each additional sibling. This fee goes towards benefits the girls receive (pizza, t-shirt, etc.). You’ll receive emails from the Austin Site Director – Jennifer MacCurrach – to RSVP for individual events.
To receive the Sibling Discount please select “Yes” to apply for financial aid. Under “How much are you able to pay (if any)” please enter the full amount with the discount applied. Once submitted and approved, you’ll receive an email to make payment.
STEP 3: RSVP for events via email
RSVP’ing to attend a play day is all done through the app and if your plans change please remove your name from the list of girls attending—this is important so we know how many coaches we need to recruit to take the girls on the golf course.
In order to participate in play day activities, girls must be registered on the app AND through First Tee – Greater Austin. Sorry no exceptions, this is for safety reasons.
We’d love to tell you more about the program in person, via email or over the phone. Questions can be directed to:
